Side Projects

As I develop narrative and content for my memoir, I've taken on some other projects, like this blog.
I worked as a Graphic Designer for many years and have always loved drawing and painting. I just haven't had time to pursue it. I wanted to add some visuals to the story. So I'm working on a few ideas.

Whether they will be included in the final memoir is yet to be determined.

Summit Grove mapped out

I had been thinking about adding a map of our neighborhood to help readers visualize the small town that is the setting for most of my childhood stories.

While in Florida visiting my mom in December of 2025, I found a tourism map in the exact style I was thinking of.

I used pen and colored pencils. I consider it a work in progress or maybe a first draft.

Not too hard to figure out which house is ours... the one with all the kids in the yard.
